We didn’t to do anything you’d call super exciting, but the entire family hung out together and mostly just lazed around, which is the best kind of vacation for me.

But we did find time for some sightseeing – one of the things I love about my country is that there’s a historical monument everywhere you look. Even the smallest village has at least a baroque (if not older) church or a castle. Or some castle ruins. I’m a bit of a history (and history of architecture) enthusiast, as is my dad, and thanks to some of our acquaintances we got to explore a few churches and a small 14th century castle in detail, from the cellars all the way up to the attic. A lot of dirt and dust, but also a lot of fun for me.

Oh, and I had a supernatural experience! There was this old cemetery just outside one of the villages we visited, and the locals erected a large wooden cross there last year. Apparently, only three days after they put it there, the cross twisted so it’s now facing the village (it was almost a 90 degree turn). And when you stand next to the cross, you can feel something there. Seriously. Weird vibrations, goosebumps… I bet that if I had an EMF reader there, it’d be freaking out. (Even my dad was like "We should call those Winchesters.")

Anyway, now I’m relaxed, rested and ready to see what I missed while I was gone.

Lol, ignore my 'good vacay' question, it's totally answered here. πŸ˜‰

Churches and castles are my favourites things when it comes to architecture. So much history in those places; you can just about FEEL it when you're walking around them.

Oh, wow, really? That's so cool. πŸ˜€ πŸ‘»πŸ‘»πŸ‘»πŸ‘»πŸ‘»

Glad you had a good time, hon. ☺️

Yeah, architecture makes me feel that way, too. You could see a hundred castles and still be excited about them. Or at least I could.

And wow, I'm kind of stunned that you'd even consider nominating Just a Puppet... And incredibly honored. So yeah, go ahead and nominate! Meanwhile, I'll be over here, dumbly staring at my computer screen and grinning like an idiot.

No, seriously, thank you. This means so much to me. *hugs*

Hehehe...I don't think you truly understand HOW MUCH I LOVE IT, LOL! 😍😍😍😍😍. No, thank YOU for freaking writing it in the first place!! 😘

I just wanted to check you were okay with it before I did it! πŸ˜„

Oh, and I wanted to ask you something. I wanna nominate your Puppet fic for this year's Wicked Awards. I'd probably nominate it for the dark category? Would that be okay with you? It's just that it was one of the best fics I read last year, and I would really like to see it to be recognised as such. ❀️

You can totally say no...I'd absolutely understand. 😊

YOU DIDN'T TAKE YOUR EMF WITH YOU?? What's wrong with you? The things that could have happened! :P

That's my ideal vacation. Lazing around, doing some sightseeing. Just that. Having someone with me. Being lazy. And yes!!

Now you have to check all the SDCC stuff :D

I know, that was a total failure on my part. But I do remember the exorcism they use on the show, so that's at least something, right?

I'm in the process of checking the SDCC stuff right now. It's a lot to take in, and I don't want to rush it, because even though it's a bit less Jensen (and info about Dean) than I'd love, it's still pretty great.

Exorcism! Thank god! Backwards too, I hope. You never know when you need it.

The SDCC panel was AWESOME :) Hilarious, really! The Nerd HQ was...I don't know, too many people took advantage of Jared and Jensen being there, asking for autographs and such things during the questions. And it was kinda unproductive!

I haven't watched the SDCC panel yet, but I completely agree about the Nerd HQ. It was such a waste of time, although I guess it was a little better than last year, when Misha and Mark kept interrupting everything and everyone.

What I don't understand is how these extremely lucky people who get the chance to ask their favorite actors/idols a question waste their time on questions or requests that are so unsubstantial, shallow or just plain stupid. I mean these are all incredibly smart and talented actors who know more about their characters and the show than anyone else, and you ask them to draw something on your action figure?!

But there was a lot of good stuff, of course. Jensen's advice to the unicorn about the mic (it's like he wants us to think dirty thoughts about him). Jensen eating gummi bears and looking completely adorable. J2 and Mark giving some pretty thoughtful answers. And the way Jensen looks at Jared when Jared's talking about Sam's speech in Sacrifice.

Welcome back!!

You're so lucky, being surrounded by history. That's so awesome you got to explore those places! I wish I was more well-versed in world or even European history, our education here is very Canadian focused.

Okay that is terrifying, I don't think I'd be brave enough to approach it. D:

How are you liking all the Comic Con stuff? I've seen all the highlights haven't watched them all the way through yet.

Yeah, the amount of historical... well, everything, around us, is definitely one of the best things about Europe. At least if you're into that kind of stuff :) A lot of people get sick of it pretty soon though - I've seen people be all annoyed like "Damn! Another church?!"

I haven't really managed to catch up with the Comic Con stuff so far, because as soon as I got back from the vacation there was some work waiting for me that I have to get finished by Monday, so I didn't have much time for exploring yet.

I only watched the livestream of the Nerd HQ panel on Sunday and aside from a few good moments I was disappointed, just like I was with last year's Nerd HQ - so many dumb questions, so much time wasted on unnecessary things, and Jensen was way too quiet again. He always is when there are more people around... But we did hear him give advice to a unicorn trying to deepthroat a mic, and I'll never get over the complete adorableness of him flipping his mic while eating gummi bears and smiling like the cute little teddy bear he is. So there's that.
